We are the Political Action Committee of the Pittsburgh Democratic Socialists of America, and we’re working to elect candidates who fight for the many, not the privileged few.

Can you help?

We work to build and wield the political power for the working class to facilitate the transition to a truly democratic and socialist society.

We believe a better world is possible, and one of the ways we can make it happen is by electing people are truly on the side of the working class and committed to fighting for our collective liberation.

Our Endorsed Candidates

Carl earned our chapter’s first ever unanimous vote for endorsement. A longtime member, housing organizer, and community leader in the Hill District, Carl brings a bold and inspiring vision for what is possible in Allegheny county and our broader world. Operating independently of the major political parties, Carl is focused on the urgent task of organizing in our communities to build the power we need for poor people and the working class. He believes that organizing is the path to making the impossible possible!

Sam is a socialist, veteran, renter, mother, and Bellevue resident. Their candidacy represents so many of our values as an organization: a passion for building power for poor and working people through mutual aid and labor organizing; a platform informed by lived experience with poverty, low-wage service work, homelessness, and addiction; independence from the political system; and an uncompromising belief that housing and a healthy environment are human rights that can and should be ensured by our county government.
